The second installment of the 2026 Tax Bill, mailed in August of 2025, is due on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Interest will begin accruing on Friday, March 20, 2026. Taxes paid after the due date will be charged interest at a rate of 7.5%. The City of Augusta accepts tax payments online. Payments can also be made in person or by check/money order payable to the City of Augusta.
There are five major phases to the Revaluation: Sales Review and Validation, Market Analysis, Valuation, Field Review, and Informal Hearings. During these phases many tasks will be completed to ensure the project is successful. For more detailed information, please visit the Assessing Department.

The City of Augusta is updating the hours for two of our most frequently used departments. Beginning Monday, March 30th, the Clerk’s Office and General Assistance Office will be open four days a week: Monday - Thursday with extended daily hours from 7:15 AM - 5:30 PM.
